IP-range on blacklist

Post by andi » Sat Jan 22, 2011 7:34 am

hello,
is it possible to block an IP-range (like eg. 999.999.0.0/16) through 'IP black list' exemption list?

regards,
andi

Hello Andi,

Thank you for your post. At this time MagicSpam does not support IP ranges in any notation type. The reason for this is that it is often far too easy to "accidentally" block full ranges or "whitelist" full ranges with in incorrect entry.

This stated, we have forwarded this request to our development team for consideration as a feature request for future releases.

As always, thank you for your input!

hi,
thank you you for reply.

i did contact your support departement, but this update seems to be 'with catch-all domains and the require_full_addr rule' related. thank you anyway for information.

about ability to block IP ranges: i would look really forward to such an option in future magicSpam version!

regards,
andi
