Hi,

We have just changed to an upgraded server and installed magicspam for Centos 6 x86.64 postfix, in accordance with plesk instructions at http://kb.parallels.com/en/114647 , the install went fine without error.

But we cant find the page showing the magicspam setup, administration or licence key page's (as with plesk 9) , can you please tell me where they are on plesk 11 ?

There are no 'modules' just extensions , and trying to upload via this didnt work so we just followed the plesk 11467 instructions.

Many Thanks

Bill

This was solved via email, but for those who are facing the same problem:

During installation, you should only have to download our .rpm package from our downloads site (http://www.magicspam.com/download/) and install it on your server using the a command similar to the following:

rpm - i /path/to/downloaded.rpm

*Note: you may need to deal with dependencies before it will install as touched on in the knowledge root article you refereed to.*

After installation, MagicSpam should be accessible from within your Parallels Plesk Panel interface and you should be able to activate your license key from within the MagicSpam interface.

Is this still the best method for the latest version of MaginSpam for Plesk? I'm using Plesk 11.0.9 w/ Postfix on CentOS 6.4.

If upgrading, does the previous version of MagicSpam need to be removed, first? From the command line or via the Plesk Extensions GUI (or does it matter)? Settings will still be saved?

Hello widomaker,

If you are upgrading from a previous version of MagicSpam for Plesk, you will need to perform the following steps.
At this time we do not recommend the use of CLI package management tools to update this package (dpkg or rpm).

Uninstall the existing MagicSpam module from "Manage Modules"
Install the new module downloaded from this page through "Manage Modules"
Set your administration email address (if not already set)
Enable the plugin from the "Dashboard" tag

Your original spam settings will be preserved from before, but these steps are necessary to ensure your upgrade is fully installed and working.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.
