Post by jonca » Wed Apr 21, 2010 4:26 pm

Hi

My first question, is this the only way to contact you, its seems crazy to register on your forum when i may never come back.

2) I am running Mailenable pro on a eurovps server with plesk, can you confirm the version of software i would need.

Hi Jon.

Thank you for your interest in MagicSpam!

You'll require MailEnable 3.61 or greater and any version of Windows between XP and 2008.

The forums are our primary point of contact, though we may escalate issues to email if necessary.

We apologise for not responding to you sooner. We did not see your original message in the moderation queue until this morning.

Since you are already using Plesk, you may find it easier to go with that version.

Hi Guys

I've Installed MagicSpam (Mailenable&Plesk) with Mailenable pro 3.61

When I hit the enable button, all email comes to a halt and builds up in the queue.
Nothing logs on the Magicspam system, suggesting no email is passing through it.

This occurs even with all the rules turned off

Can you point me to the error of my ways?

Thanks
Jon

The most likely cause of the issue you experienced is that the BMS lists were being downloaded and decompressed. It can certainly slow down some systems, especially if they are only running a single core processor. Is the issue persisting or did normal activity resume after a while?

I have not left it for a long period to see if it resolves.

Based on your answer I will give it a try, does it download the lists even with all the rules switched off?

Thanks
Jon

If a download was already started, it will most likely continue the download if you turn off the MagicSpam module. However, if the MagicSpam module is turned off, it should not attempt any new downloads until you re-activate it again.

Thanks

I left it running and mail is passing through the server, But I still see a huge proportion of email being trapped by the mailenable filters, should these not be captured by Magicspam before they reach this filter. Should I be able to turn the mailenable pro filters off

Also I am currently unable to get passed the Magicspam login page at HTTPS://127.0.0.1.62 login hangs
