Outgoing Mail Limiter Triggered on {server host name}

OK, I had a user trigger the outgoing email limiter with a bunch of email to employees.

I went in and deleted the block on the sender's IP address on the Rate Limiter, and then exempted their IP in settings - rate limiter whitelist.

They can send email again.

However, I keep getting texts and emails every 5 minutes, giving the log of the rate limiter, from (now) more than one hour ago since I exempted them.

The same log, over and over, of the problem before I fixed it.

How do I stop these texts and emails?

It looks like it will just continue sending them forever :(

Hello fredonline,

Thank you for your post.

If the user has triggered the Outbound Rate Limiter, in order to whitelist them, please add their email address in the:

Settings / Exemptions / Per-User Rate Limiter Whitelist

section in MagicSpam admin-interface panel.

"Per-IP Rate Limiter Whitelist" is only used for the Inbound Rate Limiter and your customer may still be triggering the Rate Limiter.

Once you have added customer to the "Settings / Exemptions / Per-User Rate Limiter Whitelist" please let us know if the issue is resolved or if you need any further assistance.

Thank you fredonline!

No, I did that to exempt them. But the log kept being text and emailed to me every 5 minutes.

Only setting "Outbound Message Limit" to 0 (unlimited) stopped the constant texts and emails.

Then I reset it to what I had before. No more texts/emails.

So that would be a bug ;-)

Thanks!

Fred
