Installed but not able to even log in

Hi There,
Running Main Enable 5.1 on our server which we only use for hosting our websites and email.

Magicspam installed fine without issue from the exe file. The I followed the instructions and went to https://(myIPaddress):6244

However it comes up with "Unable to Connect"

Please help as in undated with Spam mails, just paid for this service but its let me down at the first setup process.

Hello Ian,

Thank you for the post.

It appears that there is a firewall set up to block external access to your server's port 6244. You may want to check any firewall settings installed in you server.

Please also try accessing the MagicSpam interface from the MailEnable server itself with:

https://127.0.0.1:6244/

I have allowed port 6244 to be open both inbound and outbound TCP and UDP

Still no change.

I have tried my actual IP address and 127.0.0.1 both with the same results.

Is there anything to check to make sure the software installed correctly?

Could it be as its setup as a website server that something needs to be set in IIS manager under sites to tell it to point to your program folder or something?

I have allowed inbound and outbound traffic over port 6244 on TCP and UDP and it has had not affect.

Tried my actuall IP address and 127.0.0.1 and both give the same fault.

Is there any way to check the installation was correct.

Is there any support out there. The first reply was very quick. But I still have not got the fix from you.

Hello ianthurtell,

We apologize for the delay.

From what you have described, it appears that the web interface service did not start up properly. Please check in your server's Services (under Administrative Tools or the Control Panel) that the following service is started:

MagicSpam Interface Daemon

If it is not started, please click on the service name and start it manually.
If the service still fails to start, please check in the Event Log and send us the error message if available.

An alternative step you can take is try removing MagicSpam and resintalling MagicSpam with the "administrator" user, and not with a user with administrative privileges.

I am logged in as "Administrator"

I have tried un installing and then re installing and there is no change.

MagicSpam Service Daemon - Set to Automatic and has Started

MagicSpam Interface Daemon - set to automatic however has not started.

On trying to start it manually I get the following error

Windows could not start the MagicSpam Interface Daemon service on local compute.

Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.


Please help, getting very tired of deleting spam now especially when I am paying for the MagicSpam service but its not working :-(

Please send an email to our support team at support@magicspam.com with your server's information such as the Windows version and a screen shot of the Event Viewer / System Log screen so that we can investigate and assist you further.
