RATELIMIT[inbound]

Post by acsdirect » Wed Aug 31, 2016 4:41 am

hello

we have been running magicspam for a while now and have in the last few days started experiencing an issue
with the ratelimit feature after turning off all the lists etc it still blocks most incoming emails to the server
from many different ip addresses none of which are blacklisted etc. the only way i can get emails in normally
is to turn off magicspam.

Can anyone advise of a fix, have uninstalled reinstalled etc various things.

Regards
Stu

Hello Stu,

Thank you for your post.

Just to clear the confusion, the rate limiter is a separate protection than the 'IP reputation block lists' and 'black lists'.

To further assist you with this issue, could you please send us the samples of your rate limiter logs and spam logs of the blocked messages in question.

To retrieve MagicSpam logs, you can use the MagicSpam interface, access the "Logs" tab and select the appropriate option from the drop down menu.

In the log search result output, you have the option to export/save the log search results to a CSV file. Once you have the CSV file, you can email that as an attachment to us for examination using your email client at our support email address:

support@magicspam.com

In the meantime you can check rate limited users in the:

System / Rate Limiters

in your MagicSpam admin-interface panel.

Thank you for supporting MagicSpam.
