HI Magicspam peeple

Thanks for the new update, layout is excellent, and appreciate that you are taking measure to prepare for updates based on our feedback.

Any ideas roughly how long it might be before wildcards will be supported as this is really becoming an issue for us.

Keep up the good work

Matt

Now that we have the new interfaces in place, it will make adding new features much easier. Our development team is already hard at work on the next release. We have yet to set the next expected release date, however we will be sure to post an announcement once we do.

Thanks for your feedback!

UPDATE: wildcard support is now available in MagicSpam release 1.0.4-4. This is handled via the use of standard 'wildcard' glob character '*'.

NOTE: this is limited to the user exemption list and the from whitelist. The use of * in the domain portion of an email address is not permitted for safety reasons

Not sure if it's been asked.

Is there an option to reject email with keywords?

Specifically "Viagra" :-)

MagicSpam does not do content filtering. Rather, it provides a set of blocklists and SMTP policies that allow you to block spam before your server has to fully process it, thereby potentially saving you CPU cycles that could be better spent elseware, and saving you in terms of bandwidth. If you are looking at putting a content filter in place, several customers have had success with SpamAssassin, though which method you choose to use is entirely up to you.

Hello,

great product!!!

- I wish, I can get a small statistic about, how much SPAM/HAM of a special email address were done by MagicSpam.
At the actual version, I just see the list, but not a short statistic of how much SPAM/HAM - Mails for a fast overview.

- The short statistic at the mouse over in the monthly calendar of a day is not correct. In IE8 are the numbers on the right side not in the same line of the title on the left side. Please correct this.

- A queue of spams would be great, where I can set the days on my own, how long spam mails are in this queue. So that I can send a mail to the receiver, if he wants it. That is important, if a mail was detected as SPAM, but it is HAM and if it is an important mail.

- A short description of the titles of the mail list would be great on the site with the list. Maybe together with the short description, I wrote before.

Thank you

Kind regards,

Klaus

Thank you for your feedback. Below are your suggestions, followed by our responses to each of the points.

- I wish, I can get a small statistic about, how much SPAM/HAM of a special email address were done by MagicSpam.
At the actual version, I just see the list, but not a short statistic of how much SPAM/HAM - Mails for a fast overview.

Are you referring to something similar to the current statistic graphs, but for a specified email address? Or are you wanting a text-only count of spam vs. ham for a given user? Please clarify so we can create the appropriate feature request with the developers.

- The short statistic at the mouse over in the monthly calendar of a day is not correct. In IE8 are the numbers on the right side not in the same line of the title on the left side. Please correct this.

Could you please send a screenshot of exactly what you are referring to?

- A queue of spams would be great, where I can set the days on my own, how long spam mails are in this queue. So that I can send a mail to the receiver, if he wants it. That is important, if a mail was detected as SPAM, but it is HAM and if it is an important mail.

MagicSpam is not designed to work like that. It is designed to block spam outright, in order to save your system resources and bandwidth, and therefore, money. If you are accepting the messages into the queue and leave them there until you purge them or deliver them, that defeats the purpose of connection-level blocking. However, we will pass this suggestion on to the developers.

- A short description of the titles of the mail list would be great on the site with the list. Maybe together with the short description, I wrote before.

We will pass this feature request along to the developers as well.

I mean that, you can let you show the mails in a list, you choose through the search fields at the end of the MagicSpam Dashboard. Then a new window opens and you get the list, but there is no small statistic, how much SPAM, how much HAM. That would be fine.

For the mouse over error, see the screenshot.

Kind regards,

Klaus Kral

Thank you for clearing that up. We have filed a bug report with the developers for that issue, as well as the feature requests previously mentioned.

Hi.

Still no update for this?

http://forums.magicspam.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=85

Blocking with wildcars is at less the base to stop lots of spam...

Thanks.
