Expiring Date for License Key

There will always be opinions, both good and bad on how MagicSpam protection, rules and policies are used, and what the defaults should be. Different environments may have different needs. We try to find the perfect balance, and that is not always easy. Just remember that we have to satisfy millions of users.. not just one person.

Expiring Date for License Key

Post by fchivu » Wed Jul 14, 2010 8:00 am

I see in the management console, under the Settings->License Key there is a expiring date. Isn't the key valid as long as I pay for the service? ShouldI manually renew it from time to time?

Thanks.

Are you referring to an expiry date less than a month away? That is the date MagicSpam would expire if you were to cancel your subscription or if your payment method would not go through. You are also seeing a renewal date beside it, correct?

You should not need to take any special action to keep your MagicSpam subscription active, as it will auto-renew every month until you say otherwise.

It is actually more than 1 month away. It says Expires: 09-21-2010 and Next Update: 09-18-2010.

You should be perfectly fine. The system should attempt to renew your license on September 18th, at which time the expiry and next-update dates should be updated as well.

In the unlikely event there is an issue, there is still the three day window between the next-update date and the actual expiry, during which we can address whatever is preventing the renewal. It's our goal to give you great spam protection, interruption-free.
